Francois Lis

Zu meiner Beschämung muss ich sagen, dass ich von diesem Sänger noch nie etwas gehört hatte:
François Lis (bass) is one of the most sought-after artists in Europe. He graduated in Musicology from the Sorbonne and went on to finish his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. He was nominated for the Revelation Artiste Lyrique of the Year in 2004
In the last season he sung the roles of Don Fernando in "Fidelio" ( with Myung Whun Chung and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France), Zuniga in "Carmen" (with Marek Minkowski) in the Châtelet Paris; Clemens VII in "Benvenuto Cellini" in the L'Opéra National du Rhin in Strasburg (with Michel Plasson); friar Laurence in Berlioz "Romeo and Juliet" in Warsaw National Opera, Jupiter in "Platée" in the Opéra National de Paris; Asdrubale in "La Pietra del Paragone" in the Châtelet and in the Teatro Regio in Parma, Narbal in "Les Troyens" in Strasburgu; Figaro in "Le nozze the Figaro" in the Opéra de Lyon (with William Christie), Melissa in "Alcina" in the Opéra de Paris, Dr Grenvila in "Traviata".
